IS one of four children of Betty and Edward Murray. Born and raised in The Bronx in Edenwald Houses he IS the second son and third child. Known to his grandparents as (The General). He was born March 21, 1966 on the cusp of Pisces/Aries. His spirit was much like that of John Coltrane moody, and yet fiery at the same time. Creating a new music style with a new purpose to Unite People to Jam through his Funk-Sop sound. He made cameo appearances in the movies Krush Groove, Above The Rim, and videos “You Bad Chubbs by Chub Rock, Don’t Give Me No Crack by Shinehead”. He wrote, recorded and performed13 songs. In St. Thomas, Jamaica, and throughout the New York and the United States He IS a father of 3 adult children. October 28, 2018 Eric-E-Jam Murray succumbed to Lupus and Type 2 Diabetes. My son is greatly missed. With heavy heart and when time came I created “The Weeping Woman Table Setting”. Explanation – A mother is having her family come to dinner, and as she sets the table she realizes one of her children will not be there. He will never again be at the table. Weeping profusely as she sets the table she still includes him in the table setting.
